EUKALIN UV-C HMPSA - efficient and adaptable
UV-C-curable hotmelt pressure sensitive adhesives (UV-C HMPSA) are – according to their name – pressure-sensitive adhesives whose internal strength (cohesion) can be significantly increased by UV radiation (mercury lamp). These mainly acrylate-based formulations already replace solvent-based pressure-sensitive adhesives in many applications. In addition to the advantages of a hotmelt adhesive system in comparison to water-based or solvent-based adhesives, UV-C HMPSA give the benefits of an acrylate-based adhesive while subsequent UV-curing provides additional thermal and chemical resistance – without the use of an inert gas atmosphere.
UV-C HMPSAs from EUKALIN are highly transparent, resistant to a variety of chemicals / plasticizers and are also suitable for sensitive applications due to covalent-bonded photoinitiators. EUKALIN offers tailor-made UV-C HMPSA for applications such as clear-to-clear and wash-off labels, tapes and specialities.
